Routine

Morning

Zelda will then usually hang out and sleep until around 1-2pm, either in her bed or on the couch with you, unless you are doing something, and then she will follow you around relentlessly.

Afternoon

She will start to get rowdy and restless in the early afternoon and will probably want to play a bit and need to go out. This is also usually when we do her big walk, but she is cool with a big walk whenever really.

If it is over 75 degrees during the day while we’re gone, she might overheat on too long a walk, in which case an early morning or evening long walk might be better.

Behavior

If she is licking her paws, you can clean them with the Mal-a-Ket wipes and that should help. We often do this while she's eating her breakfast. She just lifts the paw up while she eats.

As you may already know, Zelda is a huge snuggler. She likes to be as close as possible to her humans. If she is having trouble settling down or is digging on the carpet or scratching the couch, if you sit on the couch chaise, she will eventually lay between your feet as this is where she likes to be the most.

If you are sitting at a table, she will want to be in your lap or laying on the table and will jump and whine. If you don’t want this, just ignore her, and she will eventually lay in her bed next to you.

Her new favorite toy is the red ball with holes in it (not the one with the handle attached). She will chase it through the house as long as you’re willing to roll it around. She also loves to just throttle it. If you tell her to get her ball, she’ll usually go specifically looking for it.

Obessions

She is obsessed with and will stop at nothing to obtain the following:
